Noisy Ghosts

POLTERGEIST is a true horror classic film and a great one at that due to the collaboration that worked well between Hooper and Spielberg's vision of a ghost story.

This is a terrific movie in every way possible. It balances humor, horror, and emotion very well together.

However, watching this as an adult, I was a bit disappointed to see that some of the scenes were more amusing than scary, and that some of the effects have become dated. But the movie is otherwise visually stunning, the atmosphere is chilling, and the performances are exceptional.
